Research Institute of Feed Technology

Since 1963, the International Research Association of Feed Technology has its own research institute in the walls of a former watermill. The multi-storey building has always provided the space and infrastructure for conducting research projects, services and practical trainings during courses. Similar to the construction of a compound-feed plant, the interior design is assigned to individual functional levels on which conveyor technology and pilot plants can be accommodated on a semi-industrial scale. The two chemical and physical laboratories are also directly connected.

The Research Institute of Feed Technology offers members of the association as well as non-members the opportunity to carry out services in the technical centre as well as laboratory analyses and advises companies of the compound-feed and additive industry, plant engineering and related sectors on process engineering issues, the implementation of hygiene guidelines and compliance of safety requirements in the factory. Furthermore, the institute supports companies in the planning and implementation of publicly funded research and development projects.
